Henrik Brun Tschudi

Henrik B. Tschudi

Founder

Henrik B. Tschudi is a Norwegian philanthropist and entrepreneur with a long-standing engagement in dialogue and societal reflection. He is deeply committed to dialogue as a fundamental capacity for individuals and societies.

Henrik’s understanding of dialogue has been shaped by both practical experience and intellectual inquiry. In the early years of the foundation, he was personally inspired by the work of physicist and thinker David Bohm, whom he met and engaged with during Flux’s formative period. Bohm’s view of dialogue as a space for shared inquiry and emergence of deeper meaning has been a lasting influence on the foundation’s orientation. In later years he formed a productive and inspiring friendship with renowned philosopher Arne Næss.

Gerd Holmboe-Ottesen

Gerd Holmboe-Ottesen

Board member

Gerd Holmboe-Ottesen holds a PhD in international nutrition and is a retired Professor at the University of Oslo, where she has also served as Head of the Institute for Health and Society. Her professional work has focused on health, food systems, and human well-being, with long-term engagement in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, particularly in Palestine.

Through this work, she has gained first-hand experience of contexts marked by conflict, inequality, and social division. These experiences have shaped her understanding of dialogue as a practical necessity – enabling cooperation, mutual recognition, and coexistence across groups, cultures, and religions.

Gerd brings an interdisciplinary perspective to the foundation’s governance, linking health, lived experience, and dialogue.

Laila Stange holds a Master’s degree in the liberal arts and works as a professional leadership coach (PCC) and business advisor. She has extensive experience in teaching, as well as editorial and executive leadership roles in academic publishing.

Her professional path has been shaped by a long-standing engagement with questions of freedom of expression, narrative responsibility, and the role of publishing in democratic societies. As a coach for individuals and teams, she brings deep practical insight into listening, communication, and the conditions required for meaningful dialogue in pluralistic settings.

Jorunn Liodden

Jorunn Liodden

Board member

Jorunn Liodden has a professional background in leadership development, stress management and mental resilience. Her work focuses on strengthening individual and organisational capacity to navigate complexity, pressure, and change with greater awareness and presence.

Her perspective is grounded in the understanding that sustainable dialogue requires inner capacity — the ability to listen, reflect, and respond rather than react. As a board member, she contributes a human-centred perspective on resilience, learning, and the conditions that enable constructive dialogue at both individual and collective levels.

Petter Sørum

Petter Sørum

Board Coordinator

Petter Sørum serves as coordinator for the board and the foundation’s activities, with a focus on coherence between governance, partnerships, and long-term strategic orientation. His role emphasises facilitation, continuity, and practical stewardship of the foundation’s work and relationships.

Petter’s engagement with dialogue has been shaped by both professional experience and personal encounters. At a young age, he developed a close friendship with Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss, whose emphasis on intellectual honesty, non-violent communication, and the clear distinction between person and argument left a lasting impression. These perspectives continue to inform Petter’s approach to cooperation and constructive disagreement, along with a deep appreciation for nature and interconnected social and ecological systems.

Advisory Engagement (in development)

Flux Foundation is exploring the establishment of a Senior Advisory Council to complement the work of the board. The purpose of the council would be to provide strategic advice and reflection, drawing on experience from governance, youth engagement, and international cooperation, with the intention to strengthen the foundation’s capacity for long-term and thoughtful decision-making.
